"Book collecting is an obsession, an occupation, a disease, an addiction, a fascination, an absurdity, a fate. It is not a hobby. Those who do it must do it." ~ Jeanette Winterson

Third Sentence Thursday (1)
Third Sentence Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by Sniffly Kitty's Mostly Books for beating back the forces of OTHER sentences!
1) Take the book you are reading now and post the third sentence
2) Review this sentence anyway you want (funny and silly reviews encouraged)
3) Post a link to your sentence in the comments
This week, my third sentence comes from The End Is Near by Harry Ramble:
I woke from a sweaty, haunted nap and there she was, sitting in the wooden chair by the door.
Wow ... I'm not sure which is weirder ... sitting in a chair watching someone have "a sweaty, haunted nap" and not bothering to wake them or being the one to wake up and seeing someone sitting there watching you.
Does this lady live in this house? If not, how'd she get in? Did someone let her in? Did she break in? Wait a minute ... is she psycho? Unstable? Is she going to kill him?
Let me stop here before my mind breaks free of its leash and runs rampant across the field of my imagination.

Lol this sounds amusing to do. But it's true, there's many ways you can look at this. Was she just sitting there watching him like "oh look he's sweating and looking troubled. me likey."
ReplyDeleteO.O perhaps she is psycho haha
