Witches of East End is an upcoming American fantasy drama television series loosely based on the novel of the same name by Melissa de la Cruz (which was read and reviewed by Mandy here). The series will star Julia Ormond, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Rachel Boston, and Madchen Amick. There will be ten episodes in the first season, which will run from October 6, 2013 to December 8, 2013 on Lifetime.
Joanna Beauchamp, played by Julia Ormond, is a witch and mother of Freya Beauchamp and Ingrid Beauchamp, who are part of the next generation of witches. One change is being made from the book: Freya and Ingrid are unaware of their magical powers or heritage.
