Time for us to join the land of memes again! =) Teaser Tuesday (hosted by The Purple Booker) is great for finding new books to add to your TBR pile and it's really simple to play along. Just ...

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.

This week, our teaser comes from the soon-to-be-released novel, THE ADDRESS by Fiona Davis

"Theo strode into the room but stopped when he spotted Sara. For a moment the two remained frozen, their eyes fused on each other, before the young girl rushed to him."

Ooohhh ... I just started reading this novel so I haven't gotten to this part yet but I can feel the tension. Is it anger? Sexual? Whatever it is, I can't wait to find out! - Mandy

{Teaser Post} LIFE IN A RUT by JD Hollyfield

Life in a Rut, Love Not Included by J.D. Hollyfield
Contemporary Romance

Having it all isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

When Sarah Sullivan’s perfect life blows up in front of her, she finds herself crawling back to the one place she never saw herself returning: Home.

At thirty-one, Sarah had it all. Perfect job, perfect boyfriend, perfect life. When all that is taken away from her, she is left heartbroken and angry and desperate enough to let her life swallow her whole…for a while.

Fending off love and the pursuit of happiness completely, Sarah vows to pick up the pieces of her shattered life. She creates a list of goals for herself—starting with a much needed shower—and constructs a plan to dig herself out of her rut. What she doesn’t plan for is meeting the arrogant new employee her parents have hired to work on an addition to their home. Enter Jack Calloway, the handsome, charming, lickable foreman with an insatiable effect on Sarah’s girly parts.

Jack accepts the job, but gets more than he bargained for. Unable to ignore his racing hormones—and calm his temper—over the obnoxious woman who clouds his judgment, Jack pulls her in and steals her heart until she finally surrenders. But is he up for the challenge of picking up the pieces of Sarah’s broken heart? Can he carry her out of her rut?

Kate's Teaser:

There wasn't much Gansey didn't like about flying. He liked airports, with their masses of people all doing things, and he liked planes, with their thick-paned windows and fold-out trays. The way that a jet charged down a runway reminded him of how the Camero pressed him back in the driver's seat when he hit the gas.

And then he said what he couldn't say before. He asked, "Can I ... can I press charges?"

Kathy's Teaser:

For a magical creature, my unicorn sure poops a lot. Shouldn't its feces be more amazing? It looks and smells like ordinary horse manure.

Poop is poop. However, if you examined unicorn feces under an electron microscope you could probably decode the meaning of life.

"Meep!"

"Shut up!"

"Shut up!" the monster honks back.

"Shut the fuck up!" I tell it.

"Shut up!"

"SHUT! UP!"

"Shut up!"

Flustered by all the shouting, the monkey honks his nose repeatedly in alarm. As if repetition breeds comprehension.

"Meep! Meep! Meep!"

Graysmark stiffens at my side. Seeing clearly where this exchange is going. Knowing implicitly what's gonna happen next. Trying to throw the conversational equivalent of a fireproof blanket on the situation, he says, "I think it's a kind of distress signal."

"Shut up!"

He might just've well hurled water onto blazing oil.

"Kill it!" I command.

"Shut up!"

"Meep! Meep! Meep!"

"But, your excellency, I fear their realm is in peril and they ..."

"Kill them both!"

"Shut up!"

"Meep! Meep! Meep!"

I don't ask him again.
